Recycling

Anne Arundel County provides curbside collection of items for recycling on Tuesdays.  Use a yellow container or any type of reusable and durable container marked with a large “X” which is visible to the collection crew.

Recycle containers should be placed curbside no earlier than 6:00 pm of the day prior to pickup and are to be removed no later than the evening of pickup.

Yard Waste

Anne Arundel County provides curbside collection of yard waste on Tuesdays. Yard waste is composed of leaves, grass clippings, garden waste, and brush (such as twigs, prunings, and small branches), and small trees (including Christmas trees and wreaths).

Beginning January 1, 2017, do not use plastic bags for yard waste – it will not be picked up.  For leaves, grass, brush and branches, you can use biodegradable paper yard waste bags or a reusable container of your choice.  Reusable containers must be marked with a large “X” visible to the collectors.  This will ensure that they know it is yard waste and not trash.

If you use reusable yard waste containers, they should be placed curbside no earlier than 6:00 pm of the day prior to pickup and are to be removed no later than the evening of pickup.

For questions about trash removal, recycling or collection of yard waste, you may call the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works at 410-222-6100.

Pet Stations

There are several Pet Stations located throughout our Community.  These Pet Stations provide Mutt Mitts and plastic bags for pet waste as well as disposal receptacles.

Snow Removal

Snow accumulating 3” or more on our private roads (Almond, Hazel Nut, Peach and Tanook) will be removed by the Association’s contracted snow removal company. The County Public Works Department is responsible for removing snow on Walnut Ridge Drive, which is a County-owned road.

Each homeowner and/or resident is responsible for clearing the sidewalk in front of their home of ice and snow within six (6) hours after the fall of snow except that, if it snows between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., the homeowner and/or resident shall remove the snow and ice before 11:00 a.m.  Homeowners and/or residents whose property line abuts the sidewalk on the side of their home, have an obligation to clear the sidewalk of snow and ice on the side of their home to the end of their back property line.
